Perspective Publishing plans on leaving the trilogy of shorter novels in place to make reading the story available in more affordable and easy to read formats.

Perspective Publishing Acquires Worldwide Rights to Ellen Khodakivska’s Cat Josef, Consolidating Popular Series into New Juvenile Novel
ASHEVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA — Perspective Publishing LLC is pleased to announce the acquisition of worldwide print and electronic rights, in both English and Spanish, for Cat Josef, a new juvenile fiction novel by Amazon bestselling author Ellen Khodakivska.
The agreement marks a significant evolution for the beloved character of Josef, a philosophical and observant feline whose adventures were previously serialized. Cat Josef will serve as the definitive edition of the story, based on three original short novels—including the fan-favorite Josef The Writer’s Cat—which will be taken out of print to make way for this expanded, cohesive volume. The new novel is slated for release in Spring 2026.
A Cat’s-Eye View of the World
Cat Josef invites readers aged 10–14 (and cat lovers of all ages) into the mind of Josef, a "fluffy assistant" to a writer’s family.
